Killam Laredo Ranch Hunting Price List 2010/11

All hunts are GUARANTEED* hunts and start early afternoon at the ranch’s shooting range, which is just minutes from the Killam offices and TAMIU University on Loop 20. And the blinds are all within 10 or15 minutes of the shooting range.

2-day guide's choice mature buck hunt up to 120 inch B&C $1500.00
• This is a 2 day fully guided (1x1) guaranteed* hunt. You will have the opportunity to harvest a heavy horn buck of our choosing, that is at least 5 ½ years old.
• A booking fee of half your contract price is due upon reservation of hunting date, and the balance is due 30 days prior to the hunt date.

2 1/2-day management buck hunt 120 to 145 inch B&C $3000.00
• This is a 2 1/2 day fully guided (1x1) guaranteed* hunt. You will have the opportunity to harvest a buck that is at least 5 ½ years old and has a B&C score that your guide estimates is between 120 and 145. If you choose not to harvest the first candidate buck that your guide identifies, you may continue hunting for a different buck that fits your category for the rest of the 2 ½ day period. However, your guarantee* will have been fulfilled. On the other hand, if we do not provide you with that first opportunity within the 2 ½ day period, your guarantee* will still be in effect.
• A booking fee of half your contract price is due upon reservation of hunting date, and the balance is due 30 days prior to the hunt date.

Limited trophy hunts available for deer over 145 to 170 B&C.
• Nonrefundable booking fee of $3000.00 (due in advance) + trophy fees (due upon scoring).
• These hunts are $3000.00 plus trophy fees of $200/inch from 146 inches to 160 inches gros B&C. Trophies from 161 to 170 inches gross B&C will include all previous fees up to 160 inches + $400/inch up to 170 inches.
• We are not offering any hunts for bucks over 170 B&C at this time.
• Trophies will be priced according to B&C Gross score, as measured by our Wildlife Biologist. Trophy fees will be due upon scoring and may only be paid by cash or check.
• This is 3 day fully guided (1x1) hunt. Trophy hunts are also guaranteed*. You will have the opportunity to harvest a Trophy buck, based on your guide’s best estimate, which is within the guidelines you contacted for. If you choose not to harvest the first candidate buck that you guide identifies, you may continue hunting for a different buck that fits your category for the rest of the 3 day period. However, your guarantee* will have been fulfilled.
• If you choose to pass on the first candidate buck, and do not see what you want before the 3 day period is over, your trophy hunt may be extended for an additional fee of $750/day.

GUARANTEED* buck hunts-Definition
• We guarantee that we will provide you with the opportunity for a shot (at 200 yards or less) at the class of buck you have contracted for. This does not mean that we guarantee that you will make a good shot and kill your buck. If we do not provide you with that opportunity within the number of days contracted in your hunt, we will extend the hunt for one more day and/or reschedule you for another hunt later in the season or reschedule you next season at no additional cost to you. This guarantee does not mean that we will refund your money, only that we will keep hunting with you until we provide the opportunity for you to have a shot at the type of buck you contracted for.

Turkey Hunts
• The turkey hunt fee is $500.00, and is only available in combination with one of the buck hunts. However there are only are a limited number of Trophy Toms available and not all of our blinds have these turkey coming to them, so let us know early if you are interested in harvesting a Trophy Tom. If available, your turkey hunt can either be conducted in conjunction with your buck hunt or after you have harvested your buck.
• Turkey hunts are GUARANTEED in a different way than our buck hunts. We will only charge you the fee if you shoot at a turkey.

All Hunts
• Field dressing, quartering, and caping (to the base of the skull) of game is included in price of the hunt.
• Any additional charges will be paid upon completion of your hunt.
• Non-hunting companions are welcome at $200.00 per day.
• One Whitetail Doe may be harvested with the above hunts for no additional fee.
• All deer hunts are guided one hunter to one experienced guide.
• All buck hunts are for mature deer. Trophy deer will be a minimum of 6.5 years old.
• Your guide will determine the age and give an estimate to the best of his ability on the gross B&C Score of any deer to be harvested.
• If you draw blood on a deer, even if it is not recovered, it is considered your deer. We will make every effort to recover any wounded animal. Tracking dogs for wounded deer are available for an additional fee.
• Game will be stored in walk-in cooler on the ranch during your stay. You will be responsible for providing your own ice chests and transportation of your meat and capes from the ranch to your home. Arrangements can be made for taxidermy.
