Killam Development, Ltd. approaches Laredo’s real estate
market needs with a clear vision. We are keenly in tune with the
Laredo’s past, and our goal is to serve current real estate
market needs while planning for the future.
In the mid-1980’s, the Killam Real Estate Department was
created to meet a specific and timely need. The City of Laredo was
rapidly nearing the Killam’s land holdings around Laredo.
It became evident that development of this ranch property was in
the best interest of our community. Since that time Killam Development,
Ltd. has become the largest mixed-use developer of land in the Laredo-area.
Our goal is to be Laredo’s premiere land development company
with attention to land use planning, architectural harmony, restrictions,
and amenities. We strive to achieve this goal through a complete
and diversified real estate department staff including sales &
leasing, property management, property maintenance, accounting and
support personnel.

The Killam’s land holdings around Laredo have us poised to
serve the needs of the community today and for decades to come.
We take this responsibility very seriously, and we are committed
to providing developed lands at competitive prices. As land developers,
we take pride in the fact that the lots we construct provide jobs
to contractors, ad valorem tax accounts for the different taxing
jurisdictions, and most importantly homes and businesses where the
community lives and works.
As responsible custodians of land we dedicate, from time-to-time,
property for the good of our community. Examples of this generosity
include right-of-way donations when City streets and utility lines
are needed, community centers, and a 300-acre University Campus.
The donation of 300 acres to Texas A&M University by the Killam
family allowed for the creation of the current campus housing Texas
A&M International University. We are proud that the main building
at that campus displays the Killam name… another sign of our
commitment to our community.
Real estate development and property management are not static,
and require our commitment to being dynamic. We must constantly
evaluate the real estate needs of Laredo, its current occupants,
and companies considering establishing businesses in our community.
We must determine how to satisfy their needs. Our job is not complete
until the tenants, property owners, and residents in our developments
are pleased and satisfied with their properties.
Killam Development, Ltd. is currently developing five sites around
Laredo with two additional development areas set to be started in
the next 18 months. These sites vary from a few acres to over 1,500
acres. We believe that our developed lands can serve almost every
